Cobalamin or vitamin B12 deficiency is common in elderly patients, but is often unrecognized or not investigated because the clinical manifestations of cobalamin deficiency are subtle. Current evidence of implicating vitamin B12 deficiency increasing the risk of dementia has been controversial [2]. Moreover, exact clinical characteristics of vitamin B12 deficiency in concomitant AD patients have been unclear to date. This study aims to describe clinical and neuropsychological characteristics of vitamin B12 deficiency in pathological proven AD patients.
